Just mentioning “Lighthouse” is always going to lead into a good discovery. This place is not only an awesome lighthouse on the corner of Yomitan’s Cape Zanpa but it sits on acres of manicured land for exercisers, and of course, photographers. The walking paths around this area border the China Sea providing great scenic areas to take photographs. We really enjoyed this tour because you could get “danger” close to the edge which was nice for pictures. The parking is safe and very close to the lighthouse; which was nice because it was hot! The sun was blasting us so we went the opposite direction headed for the cliffs. The pathway felt about 3/4 of a mile up a slight hill but we took plenty of brakes to take pictures. It was cool to see fisherman scattered across the rocks which provided good photo ops! The waves were not crashing but if you get motivated on a future big swell I recommend visiting this place to capture waves crashing against the cliffs. We had a great time and I hope to go back when the sun is rising next time.
